What Teachers Are Saying

"I have been using your SMART board CD since I have received it. I absolutely love all of the games. I cannot believe how engaged the students are when they are playing the games. The part that I find fascinating is that the students do not even realize that they are learning while they are playing the games. Thank you very much!"
Diana Boisvert

"Every time I use your Smartboard activities Etools CD, the level of interest and excitement in French just skyrockets! Parents are thrilled to see technology in the classroom and in recent months, the push for a more integrated approach using technology has been very evident. French is no exception. Even if you don't have a Smartboard in the classroom, the French activities are still accessible on the computer via the Notebook program. It is such a great learning tool."
Shaki Ravindran

"Your SmartBoard activities have changed my classroom. In particular, your SmartBoard workshop has inspired my teaching in so many new ways. When I asked my grade 7 students what they thought, they told me the activities in class were fun, which helped them remember more than worksheets. They found it very helpful to see a word, hear it, and see a picture all at the same time. Most of all, they loved touching the SmartBoard and interacting directly with the language. Thank you so much!"
Jenn Bairos

"I really appreciate having the SMARTboard CD with all the vocabulary and games easily accessible to use with all of my classes. It fits in very well with our curriculum and the Theme-based program of studies. It is nice to have this material to use when I have a supply teacher or just when we need to take some time to do a bit of theme work. Thank you for a wonderful resource, Sylvia."

Les Mots Cachés

Les Mots Cachés

This is an example of several exercises aimed at building theme-based vocabulary that can be found in each of the 23 programs on the CD. The teacher should say the name of the image first, the students will repeat, then the word can be revealed underneath the image. The second time through, the students try to remember the words on their own without looking behind the images. If necessary, the word can be revealed. Sound bites are embedded so that the student can hear the proper pronunciation of each word by touching the word.
